Flight FAQs
Flying from the USA?
Our preferred Airline partner Fiji Airways fly direct into Nadi (Fiji Gateway) from Los Angeles, San Fransisco and Honolulu
Los Angeles - Daily flights, which depart at 10.45pm and arrive into Fiji 2 days later at 5:45am (eg depart on Monday evening and arrive Wednesday morning)
San Fransisco - Fiji Airways flys 4 times a week (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday) leaving at approx 10:30pm and arriving 2 days later at approx 5am
Honolulu - Fiji Airways fly twice a week (Thursday and Saturday) Leaving at 11:30pm and arriving 2 days later at 4.20am - Please note that the Thursday flight goes via Samoa with a short stopover and arrives at 6am
Accommodation - As you will be arriving into Fiji early in the morning you may wish to book the night before so you are able to check into your hotel room straight away. Our online booking system can do this for you or please contact us and one of our Spartan experts can add this for you.

How do I book my flights?
Simply add your flights in our online booking tool once you have selected your accommodation. (it's up the top when you create a package)
Can I book flights without accommodation?
Sure - Just click on the Contact Us link and we can book flights for you no problem.
Do my flights on Fiji Airways include checked in luggage?
Not automatically, you need to chose the upgrade option to add luggage to your fare
Flying from Tokyo?
Fiji Airways flys twice a week, Tuesdays and Fridays from Tokyo to Nadi. Departing at 9.25pm and arriving the next day at 9am.
Flights from Nadi to Tokyo also depart on Tuesdays and Fridays. Departing at 1.15pm and arriving 7.30pm the same day

Accommodation FAQs
Where should I stay during the event week?
During the event week, we recommend that you stay closer to the race course. Denarau Island, Nadi and Vuda Marina
Where should I stay after or before the event?
So many options to choose from including, Denarau Island, Coral Coast, Outer Islands...too many to list - ask us about our favourites
Can I book both during the event and pre or post event with you?
You sure can. Either do it online with us or get in contact and we can send you a quote
I'm bringing my non participant family members what will they do all day when I'm racing?
Relax by the pool with a cocktail in hand if they are old enough! Most of the larger hotel chains have amazing kids clubs that you can book while you're off racing
Do hotels have cooking facilities?
Many of the big chain hotels don't. The Terraces Apartments in Denarau is a great option if you want to cook your own food. It (& the Palms) is also the closest accommodation to Denarau Marina where there is a supermarket.
Getting Around
How do I get to the race course?
There are plenty of taxi companies on the island, check with the hotel reception to make a booking in advance.
How do I get from the Airport to my accommodation?
Add your transfer when booking your accommodation with Spartan Travel.
Local Buses?
Buses operate on an electronic ticketing system, so you’ll have to buy a disposable card ($2, $5, $10, $20, $50, $100) from the bus checkers. Cards stay valid for 30 days and can be refunded in cash during that time from a Vodafone retail outlet.
Driving in Fiji?
There are roads all over Viti Levu and Vanua Levu (although not in very good condition) are just begging to be explored on a multi-day roadtrip. Self-drives are perfect way to take your time in the small towns and grab a selfie or two at all the scenic spots.

Accommodation
There are lots of accommodation options to choose from in Fiji.
Want to stay as close to the course as possible? Choose resorts around Nadi or just north of the airport.
Denarau Island - the most popular destination in Fiji, close to the airport and race venue (approx 25mins to both). They have the major hotel chains as well as Denarau Marina, which has lots of bars, restaurants, shops & a small supermarket.
The Coral Coast – where Tradition, Culture & Nature meet. Blessed with some of the best beaches on Viti Levu, the Coral Coast's laidback vibe and huge range of things to do, make it a firm favourite for families and cultural adventurers. Depending on which resort you chose it can be approximately a 2 hour drive to the race location
Outer Islands - Best to stay at after the race. So many to choose from depending on your budget and what you want to do; Scuba Diving, surfing, sailing, relaxation and indulgence? The choices are endless and yours!
